Vladimir Poutine : satire de sa personne, "haine politique"… pourquoi le chef du Kremlin en veut à ce carnaval ? 02.03.2026

During the annual "Rosenmontag" carnival in Düsseldorf, Germany, on Monday, February 16th, hundreds of thousands of attendees paraded with satirical floats, notably targeting Russian President Vladimir Putin. German artist Jacques Tilly, who faces charges in Russia for spreading false information about the army, created several sculptures, including one depicting Putin with an open mouth, poised to devour a young woman representing the European Union. This follows Tilly's past controversial depictions of Putin, such as with bloody hands. Moscow has condemned these caricatures as "political hate" and an offense to public authorities. Tilly is scheduled to be tried in absentia in Moscow on February 26th, facing up to 10 years in prison, a prospect he initially dismissed as a prank.
