A 63-year-old man, who was sentenced to 1078 days in prison for offenses including burglaries, illegal firearm possession, and possession of over 10,000 MDMA pills, has been apprehended in Amsterdam. The fugitive had previously been held at the Nieuwegein penitentiary but failed to report to a new facility in January. The FASTNL team, part of the National Investigation and Intervention Unit and affiliated with ENFAST, initiated an investigation into his whereabouts and successfully located him. The arrest was carried out by the Special Intervention Service (DSI), with no injuries reported among the multiple individuals present at the residence.
