Vor der Rede zur Lage der Nation: Trumps Zustimmungswerte sinken auf historisches Tief 24.02.2026

Ahead of his State of the Union address to Congress, President Donald Trump's approval ratings have reached a historic low, with only 32 percent of Americans approving of his policy priorities according to a new CNN poll. Two-thirds of Americans believe he is neglecting the nation's most pressing issues, and 61 percent feel his course is more harmful than beneficial, with his overall approval rating at 36 percent. This marks a significant decline from his 48 percent approval following his address last year, with notable drops among Latinos, Americans under 45, and Independents. A separate NPR, PBS News, and Marist poll indicates 55 percent of US adults believe Trump is changing the country for the worse. Doubts are also growing within the Republican Party, with his approval among Republicans falling below 50 percent for the first time.
