The AfD in Saxony-Anhalt has decided against holding a special party congress to address allegations of nepotism, opting instead to establish a commission named "Verhalten im politischen Betrieb" (Conduct in Political Operations). This commission, led by AfD state parliament member Gordon Köhler, will develop recommendations regarding employment practices. State chairman Martin Reichardt stated the move aims to prevent legitimate employment relationships from being further sensationalized, and the commission will also examine regulations in other federal states. The party faces widespread criticism following national revelations of relatives of AfD politicians being employed by other parliament members, with several cases from Saxony-Anhalt drawing particular attention.
