Starting March 12, 2026, Sumeria, Lydia's online banking service, will implement a monthly inactivity fee of three euros for users who have not made a bank transaction or subscribed to a paid plan in the preceding two calendar months. This new fee replaces previous inactivity charges for cards and aims to manage dormant accounts. Users who had their Lydia accounts automatically transferred to Sumeria upon its launch in May 2024 may be affected if they have not actively used their Sumeria account. To avoid these charges, customers must contact Sumeria's customer service before March 12, 2026, to refuse the tariff change or request account termination, with no penalties applied for such actions.
