The Urgent Care Center of the Goražde Cantonal Hospital is recording an increased number of patients presenting with acute conditions caused by insect bites, most commonly ticks over the past month. Dr. Amira Balićevac-Sijerčić emphasizes the importance of knowing how to properly remove a tick, preferably with tweezers, and adequately treating the contact site. If patients are unable to do this at home, they should report to the nearest health institution.
