Weekend ferry sailings at risk due to gales 09.04.2026

Ferry services operated by the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company face potential disruption this weekend, from Saturday, October 28th, to Sunday, October 29th, due to forecast gale force winds. Specifically, the Manxman's 08:30 sailing from Douglas to Heysham on Saturday and its 14:15 return are at risk. Additionally, the fast craft Manannan's sailings between the Isle of Man and Liverpool on Saturday at 15:00 and 20:00, as well as Sunday's 07:15 and 11:15 crossings, are in doubt. The Ronaldsway Met Office predicts gusts reaching up to 45mph (72km/h). Adverse weather on Friday has already caused the Manxman's morning crossing to Heysham to be rescheduled. Passengers affected can rebook without charge.
