The Western Cape government has accepted the Constitutional Court's landmark ruling that declared the sale of the former Tafelberg School site in Sea Point unlawful. Infrastructure MEC Tertuis Simmers stated that the judgment should serve as a catalyst for strengthening affordable housing delivery across South Africa, not just the end of a lengthy legal battle. He emphasized that affordable housing is about creating integrated communities with access to jobs, public transport, schools, and healthcare.
