The businessmen had provided a joint and several guarantee for Climealine's obligations, which New Life Holdings claimed Climealine defaulted on in December 2023. The respondents argued their liability was suspended due to a cancellation dispute and parallel litigation, but the court found the guarantee created independent payment obligations enforceable upon written demand, rejecting their pleas and ordering them to pay costs.
