What farce: How I got a caravan coastal parking permit without owning one 28.06.2026

A journalist successfully applied for and received a temporary caravan parking permit for Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq on Malta's coast without ever owning a caravan. Using his electronic ID, he logged into the local permits portal, selected the Naxxar Local Council, and filled in a simple form. Minutes later, he received permit NXR-2026-55180, valid for 24 hours starting 30 June, complete with the council's letterhead and a line for the executive secretary's signature.
