Whole lotta love for Led Zeppelin star given plaque 09.04.2026

Led Zeppelin icon Robert Plant, a celebrated "record store legend" for Record Store Day on April 18, visited Spillers Records in Cardiff's Morgan Arcade to receive a plaque. Plant, 77, who has strong ties to Wales since the band's 1970 move to Bron Yr Aur cottage where they wrote 'Led Zeppelin III', described Spillers as "hallowed territory" and a vital part of youth culture. He reminisced about listening to music there despite rarely having money to buy records, highlighting the shared passion with store staff. Spillers owner Ashli Todd lauded Plant as a connoisseur whose passion for music discovery remains undimmed, calling it an honor to host his legend plaque. Plant is also releasing a four-track EP, Saving Grace: All That Glitters, for Record Store Day 2026.
