Prime Minister Robert Abela has unveiled a new Cabinet, marked by the significant return of Chris Fearne as Minister for Foreign Affairs and Rosianne Cutajar as Minister for Equality. Deputy Prime Minister Ian Borg will now oversee the Health Ministry, a portfolio facing scrutiny over waiting times and infrastructure. Fearne, who previously resigned from Cabinet and is involved in the Vitals-Steward corruption case, returns to a prominent role. Jo Etienne Abela moves to Tourism, while Byron Camilleri is the new Minister for Education and Sports. Glenn Bedingfield is promoted to Minister for Home Affairs, and Jonathan Attard takes charge of Planning, Infrastructure, and Employment, tasked with a planning law reform. Several parliamentary secretaries have also been elevated to ministerial positions, with a particular emphasis placed on youth affairs.
