The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced on late Saturday morning that all tropical cyclone wind signals have been lifted from the country as Typhoon “Kiyapo” (international name: Noil) maintained its strength while moving toward southern China. The center of Kiyapo was last estimated at 465 kilometers west of Basco, Batanes, outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), moving northwestward at 25 kilometers per hour (kph). According to the state weather bureau’s 11 a.m. tropical cyclone bulletin on Saturday, the typhoon had maximum sustained winds of 120 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 150 kph.
