A 22-year-old woman has been arrested in Johor Bahru for allegedly causing the death of her newborn daughter by throwing her from the 10th floor of an apartment building on May 2. Johor acting police chief Deputy Comm Hoo Chuan Huat stated that the baby was alive when thrown, leading to her death. The suspect, who has no prior criminal record, was apprehended on June 2 at Hospital Sultanah Aminah. Police gathered witness statements and are proceeding with charges under Section 304(a) of the Penal Code for culpable homicide not amounting to murder, with the suspect to be charged in court on June 3.
