On the morning of May 6, a bus service on route 198 was significantly delayed when a female commuter blocked the doorway, claiming the bus captain had missed her stop. The incident, which occurred around 11 am along Jurong Town Hall Road, led to approximately 20 passengers being transferred to the next bus. According to SBS Transit, the bus captain apologized after the woman raised her voice, but she remained displeased. CCTV footage reviewed by SBS Transit indicated that the bus had indeed stopped at the woman's intended bus stop, and as no one else was alighting, the doors closed and the bus proceeded. The police were called to assist, and SBS Transit advised commuters to be prepared to alight when they intend to.
