Women make up 71% of Emirati private-sector workforce 28.08.2026

Gulf News

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation reported that 123,388 Emirati women were employed in the UAE private sector by the end of the first half of 2026, a 128% rise from 2023. This growth is attributed to government policies aimed at widening job access, creating equal opportunities, and supporting women in diverse professions and senior roles. Notably, 98% of these women hold skilled jobs, including specialist and technical positions, while 55% of Emiratis in leadership and executive roles are women. At upper professional levels, women account for 70% of Emirati employees, and they also represent 70% of young Emiratis entering the private sector workforce.
