Chinese President Xi Jinping commenced a state visit to Pyongyang, Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Monday, June 8, 2026. He was personally welcomed at the airport by Kim Jong Un, the DPRK's top leader, along with his wife Ri Sol Ju, while Xi's wife Peng Liyuan also accompanied him.
