Matthieu Jalibert, the Bordeaux fly-half, has been ruled out of the XV de France's upcoming match against Italy in the 2026 VI Nations tournament, ending his streak of starts. The French Rugby Federation (FFR) announced his withdrawal, with Toulouse's Thomas Ramos stepping in at fly-half. Théo Attissogbe will replace Ramos at fullback, and Gaël Dréan is set to make his debut on the wing. Jalibert had shown promising form in the tournament, but the FFR did not specify the reason for his absence against Italy, which is scheduled to take place in Lille this Sunday.
