Young Man Drowns in Zab River in Kirkuk; River Police Search for Body » Baghdad Today News Agency 03.07.2026

A source in the River Police reported on Friday, July 3, 2026, that a young man drowned in the Zab River near the Tawana Kopr region in Kirkuk. The source confirmed to 'Baghdad Today' that the young man, a resident of one of the central districts of Kirkuk city, was accompanied by several friends before drowning in the river. He added that the River Police, with the participation of local residents, have declared a state of alert to locate and recover the young man's body.
