Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has called on all political parties to refrain from raising old, irrelevant issues during the Johor state election campaign, advocating for a mature and respectful political process. The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that campaign efforts should prioritize candidates' strengths and their proposals for the people, noting that several contesting parties are also cooperating at the federal government level. He expressed hope that the political arena in Johor would be approached with wisdom, as weekly Cabinet meetings could become awkward if colleagues are attacked over past matters.
