The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported on Tuesday morning that the death toll from the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and Tropical Cyclone Inday has climbed to 23, with 18 individuals still missing. In its 8 a.m. situational report, the NDRRMC noted that only one of the 23 reported deaths has been validated, occurring in Region 10, while the remaining 22 fatalities are still under verification. The reported deaths were distributed across several regions, including 10 in Region 12, seven in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), two each in Cagayan Valley and Northern Mindanao, and one each in Western Visayas and the Davao Region.
